South Dakota Merriam's turkeys are one of the most complex birds to hunt. These birds are incredibly wild, with a keen sense of eyesight and a sharp sense of hearing—using the terrain completely to their advantage.

These ridgelines, valleys, and mountains can be tough to navigate, providing these birds with excellent cover.
